Based in Gili Trawangan, Gili Eco Trust is a local environmental conservation NGO established in 2000 by a group of dive shops on the Gili islands to eliminate destructive fishing practices around the islands. Since then, Gili Eco Trust has expanded its influence and drives marine reef restoration, waste management, eco-tourism and animal welfare initiatives across Gili Matra (Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air).
